The Office of Research Administration succeeded the Office of Cooperative Research in 1967. It received documents related to sponsored research, administered research awards, and assisted in budget preparation for externally-funded research. The name was changed to the Office of Sponsored Projects in 1989. This collection consists of monthly reports that typically list the granting agency, the contract or grant number, the amount of money awarded, the receiving department and primary investigator, as well as the title and a short description of the research being done.
